Launceston (Zone 26) gets more frost days and heavier fog inversion, so airtightness and floor insulation carry more weight. The Central Highlands, Bothwell and Miena (Zone 65) are effectively alpine — expect R6.0 ceiling, R2.7+ walls, R2.5 underfloor and triple glazing on any south-facing glass.
